Wave of Islamic awakening cannot be suppressed

aytaullah_jannatiTehran’s interim Friday Prayer Leader, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, has said that the wave of Islamic awakening cannot be suppressed.

Referring to developments in Middle East and North Africa, Ayatollah Jannati pointed out that Islamic awakening cannot be suppressed because the people do not submit to force, oppression and injustice and are therefore mass murdered by the dictators’ agents and  mercenaries.

According to Shiite News, Ayatollah Jannati reiterated that the people of Bahrain are slaughtered only because they stand against despotism and injustice, while peacefully seeking their legal demands.

Tehran’s interim Friday Prayer leader also referred to the escape of Yemeni dictator to Saudi Arabia and predicted that with the shaping of popular protests in this country; the Saudi, Yemeni, and Tunisian dictators would escape to the US.

On Iran’s stand toward the regional developments, Ayatollah Jannati said wherever there are Islamic and popular movements; Islamic Republic of Iran supports these movements.

Furthermore, Ayatollah Jannati referred to the remarks made by the Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, on the anniversary of demise of the Founder of Islamic Republic of Iran, late Imam Khomeini (May his soul rest in peace), and emphasized that: “The enemies imagined that the demise of Imam Khomeini marks the end of the Islamic Revolution. But, they saw that the Islamic Revolution continues its righteous path as strong as ever.”

Ayatollah Jannati underscored that following the demise of Imam Khomeini, the people continued late Imam’s righteous path and never compromised. People still continue their progresses and accomplishments.
