Shia-Sunni parties rally against Saudi kingdom over demolition of Jannat-ul-Baqee

Like other parts of the world, Pakistan was also reverberating with the slogans of Down with House of Saud as Shia and Sunni parties and religious scholars led rallies to condemn the Saudi kingdom for demolition of Jannat ul Baqee graveyard in Medina as they commemorate the anniversary of the demolition yesterday.

Imamia Students Organisation, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Tehreek-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafaria (TNFJ) Pakistan, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan and Sunni Ittehad Council’s leaders spoke at the rallies in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Thatta and other cities.
Allama Sadiq Raza Taqvi spoke at the ISO female wing rally in Karachi where the protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with demands for reconstruction and restoration of Jannat ul Baqee graveyard.
Allama Aqeel Anjum Qadri also spoke and condemned the Saudi kingdom for its blasphemous act of demolition of Jannat ul Baqee.
Syed Asadullah Shah and others spoke Jannat ul Baqee rally outside Thatta Press Club. Allama Basharat Imami led the rally in Islamabad.
