US to Pay for Supporting Terrorism: Iranian Spokesman
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi slammed US Senator John McCain for his recent meeting with members of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), saying Washington will pay a price for supporting terrorism.
Speaking at his press conference in Tehran on Monday, Qassemi denounced the meeting between McCain and anti-Iran MKO terrorists in Albania as a sign of Washington’s unchanging policy of spreading terrorism in the region.
“The meeting demonstrated that despite the change of the US administration, they are still pursuing their terrorism-fostering policies,” he said.
The Iranian spokesman further emphasized that the US government will pay for supporting terror groups.
McCain, R-Ariz, met with the MKO members in Tirana on Friday, talking about his opposition to the Islamic Republic and pledging continued support for the group.
