Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s legislators have announced they will protest against the PMLN government’s secrecy on its decision regarding Saudi-led military alliance.

“Earlier, the legislature was told something else on the issue of Saudi-led military alliance. We came to know the change of the Nawaz Sharif government policy through an interview of Defence Minister Khawaja Asif,” said Shireen Mazari, the chief whip of the PTI in National Assembly and a noted scholar on political and international affairs.
Talking to Geo News Mazari and Iftikhar Durrani, director central media of the PTI said that they were dismayed over the government’s decision because PTI wanted that Pakistan should play a mediating role instead of taking sides, otherwise partiality would create problems.

Mazari also said that PTI legislators would ask the government to clarify what is the position and status of Raheel Sharif in the Saudi alliance and under what conditions he was allowed to join that alliance.
