No Pakistani troops to Saudi borders Sartaj Aziz tells MWM
Prime Minister’s advisor on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz has categorically denied reports that Pakistan Army troops were being sent to Saudi Arabia to guard its borders with Yemen.
He told Nasir Abbas Shirazi, deputy secretary general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, that Pakistan government had not made any such decision. He said Pakistan government has not violated the unanimous decision of the Parliament.
Shirazi had made telephonic contact with Sartaj Aziz and registered MWM’s strong protest and dismay on the reports that Pakistan was going to join Saudi war against Yemen by sending combat troops on southern borders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
