21st martyrdom anniversary of Mohsin Naqvi observed across Pakistan

The 21st anniversary of martyrdom of great Shia scholar and poet Mohsin Naqvi was observed in al over Pakistan with great reverence due to his adoration of infallible leaders of Islam and his anti-terrorism poems.

Mohsin Naqvi was pen name of Syed Ghulam Abbas Shah son of Syed Chiragh. Mohsin belonged to Dera Ghazi Khan. He embraced martyrdom when barrages of bullets were sprayed on him at Moonlight Market in Lahore on January 15, 1996.
He had composed a poem against takfiri terrorist outfits of Deobandi fanatics namely Anjuman Sipah-e-Sahaba (ASS) for its terrorism and provocative takfiri hate-speeches in Pakistan. He was first poet who did so. Hence ASS now renamed as ASWJ and mother organization of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi got him assassinated due to his bold anti-terrorism and anti-takfirism stance.
He was a famous poet of Pakistan and contributed very much to Urdu literature by his ghazals. He was also a political poet and leaned to Pakistan People’s Party of Bhuttos and also contributed poems regarding the struggle and sacrifices of Bhutto family for the sake of democracy in Pakistan.
Shia Muslims love Mohsin Naqvi for his unmatched poetry he contributed for the sanctity of Ahl-e-Bait (AS) and his scholarly speeches during azadari congregations.
