Allama Sajid Naqvi reacts to Samiul Haq statement on fourth schedule
Allama Sajid Naqvi, chief of Shia Ulema Council, has asked the federal government and the parliament to clarify their position on the statement of JUI-S chief Samiul Haq (a Deobandi cleric) who had appealed to somebody else for removal of names from fourth schedule that is a category where suspected terrorists and their facilitators are named.
Allama Naqvi asked the parliament and the executive of the state of Pakistan to clarify their position how much powerful they are and if somebody else was empowered to include and exclude the names in the fourth schedule.
He said that in the past too, statements were issued in which indirect appeal was made to somebody else on national issues but now a direct appeal to non-parliamentary forces has been made.
Allama Sajid said that National Action Plan was diverted to ordinary citizens hence sectarian fanatics were feeling free to continue their illegal and unconstitutional activities emboldening the terrorists in all over Pakistan.
