ASWJ Karachi ringleader Rab Nawaz Hanfi among 5 arrested in Karachi

Deobandi hatemongering ringleader of proscribed ASWJ Karachi chapter Rab Nawaz Hanafi was arrested on Tuesday. Four other takfiris of mother organization of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi were also held from Gulbahar’s Khamosh colony neighborhood.

Theirs arrests were made in a joint raid of police and intelligence agencies personnel in Khamosh Colony area. During the action, five accused including Karachi chief of proscribed ASWJ Rab Nawaz Hanfi were arrested.
An ASWJ spokesman confirmed Hanfi’s arrest, saying that the ASWJ leader was taken into custody for questioning.
Self-claimed Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) is in fact Sipah-e-Sahaba, the mother organization of notorious Deobandi terrorist Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. All these Deobandi groups were banned due to their terrorism, hatemongering and provocative speeches aimed inciting people to intolerant violent extremism.
