Sindh government has banned movement of 291 people for maintenance of peace during Moharram azadari but unfortunately pro-peace moderate eminent Shia scholars have also been banned evoking stiff protest from Shia Muslims.

Ban on movement of Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, Allama Baqar Najafi, Allama Hasan Zafar Naqvi, was also imposed alongside ban on clerics of other sects.
Shia Muslims have expressed surprise and dismay that moderate Shia Muslims who never remained involved any sort of incitement nor they ever indulged in any unlawful activity but their movement into other districts of the province was also banned. They condemned equating the peaceful and qualified Shia scholars with hate-mongering inciters of takfiris. They demanded lifting of ban on pro-peace and unity scholars.
