Policeman guarding Shia Imam Bargah killed due to takfiris firing

A policeman guarding an Imambargah was martyred when takfiri terrorists riding a motorcycle opened fire upon him in Bannu Bazar area of Kohat here on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the policeman identified as Raza Ali was deployed at the Rizvia Imambargah when unidentified armed men opened fire on him. The policeman was killed on spot due to multiple shots. The target of the terrorists was to hit the Imam Bargah and those Shia Muslims who were present inside.

As Moharram approaches fast, takfiris among Deobandis belonging to the proscribed ASWJ, mother organisation of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi have intensified their unilateral war on peaceful Shia Muslims. Unfortunately, state actors are also patronising these non-state actors by calling them at official meetings on security and by allowing them to make provocative hate-speeches in all over Pakistan and simultaneouslu gagging and banning non-controversial peaceful qualified and saner Shia scholars in many districts.
