Orders issued to freeze bank accounts of banned terrorist outfits’ ringleaders

Orders have been issued to freeze bank accounts of many takfiri Deobandi ringleaders of banned terrorist outfits under Anti-Terrorism Act 1997.

The relevant government authorities had asked the State Bank of Pakistan to freeze the accounts of facilitators and ringleaders involved in terrorist activities or their patronage. Under that recommendation, State Bank of Pakistan is learnt to have frozen the accounts of notorious ringleaders of proscribed ASWJ such as Aurangzeb Farooqi, Ramzan Mengal, Molvi Fayyaz. The order was also issued to freeze ban accounts of Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Aziz.
Reports had it that they were being funded from foreign countries and transfer of funds to them from foreign countries was also banned.
Unfortunately, Pakistan state authorities have adopted an unfair policy of balance under which they also take undue action against Shia Muslims whenever they have to take action against Saudi-allied Wahhabis or their allied Deobandi takfiri terrorist outfits. This time also, they have ordered to freeze accounts of some law-abiding peaceful and non-controversial Shia scholars and notables.
