Countrywide sit-in to protest against the illegal imprisonment of Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi

ghulam razA naqviShia Muslims have staged sit-in in provincial capitals of Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan provinces of Pakistan to lodge their protest against the unjustifiable imprisonment of Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi.
Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi, Chief of Sipah-e-Mohammad (PBUH), has been detained for over 16 years and proceedings of the false cases have not been heard for years by the relevant Court of Law.

Shiite News correspondents reported that today, the hearing of the case was announced but no progress was reported so far. Supporters of Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi and Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen began staging sit-in outside Lahore High Court in Lahore.

Then, Karachi-based Shiites began sit-in at Numaish intersection and after that Quetta-based Shia Muslims began sit-in on Alamdar Road.

Till the filing of this report on Monday night, the protest sit-in continued and the protestors were demanding the immediate release of Allama Ghulam Raza Naqvi. They said had Allama Naqvi been tried and convicted he would have served the life imprisonment that ends in the days and nights of 7 years.
