Shia scholar Agha Hassan Mousavi detained in occupied Kashmir for 64 days

Renowned Shia scholar and Friday prayers leader Allama Agha Syed Hassan Ali Mousavi Safavi was detained in occupied Kashmir for last 64 days. He is chief of Anjuman Sharai-e-Shian and a leading figure of All Parties Hurriyet Conference.

Reports from Indian-held Srinagar had it that he voiced protest against the Indian use of force against the peaceful Kashmiri protestors. Indian administration put him under house arrest and enforced a ban on his social and religious activities.

Due to Indian ban, Agha Syed Hassan Ali Mousavi could not lead Friday prayers at main mosque and Imam Bargah in Badgam for last 9 weeks.  His supporters have announced to lodge a stiff protest on Eidul Azha.

Agha Hassan Ali Mousavi has expressed solidarity with Syed Ali Shah Gilani, head of the APHC who was also detained.

Shia Muslims of Pakistan have voiced their support for detained Kashmiri leaders. They demanded of the Indian government to release Agha Hassan Ali Mousavi and other detainees forthwith.
