Sept 2: MWM Geared and all Prepared to Cordon Chief Minister House Punjab

All preparations made, geared up for a sit-in at Chief Minister House Punjab on Sept 2 should our demands are not met, quoting Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan General Secretary Allama Raja Nasir, MWM spokesman Allama Mukhtar Imami iterated during a press conference at MWM Provincial Secretariat Lahore.

He said that our leader informed on Aug 7 that failure to address our demands, MWM will cordon Chief Minister House Punjab on Sept 2 with a sit-in. He added that sad it is that though we are in constant touch with Punjab government, but our demands are going on their deaf ear. Despite several reminders, we are yet to be entertained. He said that their doors are open for negotiation, should the government pay heed.

He exclaimed that their demands are second by all parties across Pakistan to include politico-religious, social society, lawyer and their associations, etc claiming it to be legitimate. He claimed that they do not seek political mileage from the sit-in, but demand basic human rights and religious freedom for the nation as promised by the constitution of Pakistan, it’s leader Jinnah and dreamt by Iqbal. They wish a terror free Pakistan with prevalence of tolerance.

He re-iterated the demands emphasizing that any restrain on Azadari, Zikr-e-Ahlul Bait will not be tolerated, for it be constraint of processions or preachers and clerics, as it is not only against religious values but as well the charter of Pakistan.

The press conference included Allama Hassan Hamdani, Allama Nasir Mahdi, Syed Hussain Zaidi, Sheikh Imran Ali and rest.
