Baqai Trump Islamabad MoU: Trump’s Statement Exposes American Hatred of Diplomacy
Trump’s Statement Has Once Again Exposed American Hatred of Diplomacy: Esmail Baqai
Shiite News: Spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esmail Baqai has said that US President Donald Trump’s description of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding as a waste of time once again proves that Washington has no regard for diplomacy.
In his message on the social media platform X on Wednesday, he wrote that Washington’s hatred of diplomacy has once again been openly exposed, and Trump’s statement has made clear the hollowness of American diplomatic commitments. He said that this is nothing new for Iran, because it is America’s history that whenever fulfilling promises becomes difficult or undesirable, it abandons them.
Esmail Baqai, also criticizing European countries and other supporters of American imperialism, said that there is no justification left for covering up American non-compliance and shielding it from accountability; no excuse for broken promises is acceptable, international law cannot be applied selectively, and no political rhetoric can absolve Washington of accountability.

It is noteworthy that Trump, in his address at an election rally in Mississippi, had said that we made a small ceasefire that I never liked much and that I considered a waste of time, while the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding agreed in June through Pakistan’s mediation included clauses on the immediate cessation of military attacks, the lifting of the American naval blockade, Iranian arrangements regarding the Strait of Hormuz, avenues for easing sanctions, and a framework for reconstruction; however, America immediately violated it by carrying out airstrikes on Iran and imposing a naval blockade.
