Yemeni Military Media Saudi Helicopter Video: Najran AH-6i Downing Footage Debunks Technical Failure Claim

Video of Saudi Helicopter Downing in Najran Released, Saudi Claim of Technical Failure Proven False: Yemeni Military Media

Shiite News: The military media of the Yemeni armed forces on Sunday released the video showing the moments when an AH-6i war helicopter of Al Saud was targeted and brought down with a surface-to-air missile on the front in the Saudi border area of Najran. This video, filmed with a thermal camera, has exposed the Saudi coalition’s claim that the helicopter crashed and was destroyed due to a technical failure.

The Yemeni military media had already announced on Sunday morning that footage of the downing of the Saudi war helicopter in Najran would be broadcast soon, after which this video was released. According to reports, the helicopter was targeted with a locally manufactured Yemeni air defense missile.

Earlier, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree had announced on Saturday night that the Saudi war helicopter engaged in aggressive operations against Yemeni forces’ posts on the border near Najran had been shot down with an appropriate weapon. A few hours later, the spokesman of the Saudi coalition, Turki Al-Maliki, admitted that an AH-6i helicopter of the Saudi Ministry of National Guard had crashed in Najran and that both officers on board were killed, but described it as the result of a technical failure.

After the video released by Yemeni military sources, this Saudi regime narrative has been laid to rest, and it has become clear that in confronting Saudi aggression, Yemeni air defense is continuously targeting Al Saud’s warplanes, helicopters, and drones. Meanwhile, Yemeni air defense had also shot down an armed spy Karayal drone of Saudi aggression in the skies of Hajjah province.
