Birth Anniversary of Hazrat Zainab (AS) and Nursing Day: Ayatollah Arafi Pays Glowing Tribute to Nurses’ Great Services
Shiite News: Head of Hawza Ilmiyya Iran Ayatollah Ali Reza Arafi, in his message issued on the occasion of the blessed birth anniversary of Thani-e-Zahra Hazrat Zainab Kubra (peace be upon her) and Nursing Day, has paid glowing tribute to the selfless and round-the-clock services of nurses associated with the health sector. Referring to Quranic teachings (verse 32 of Surah Al-Ma’idah), he said that whoever saves one human life, it is as if he has saved all of humanity.
Addressing nurses, Ayatollah Arafi said that through your selfless services, you are manifesting Zainabi patience in the form of serving the servants of God. He said that Hazrat Zainab (peace be upon her), in the most difficult circumstances of Karbala, was not only the caretaker of the wounded and the sick, but is also the greatest symbol of patience, resilience, and steadfastness in history. Today’s nurses are also treading the same great path of self-sacrifice, sacrifice, and service to humanity.
The Head of Hawza Ilmiyya emphasized that nurses do not merely relieve physical pain but present a practical picture of Islamic moral teachings through their compassionate and dignified attitude. The seminaries view their tireless hard work with appreciation. At the end of the message, he offered special prayers for all nurses for health, success, and steadfastness on this sacred path of serving humanity.
