Shiite News: The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, welcoming the awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize to renowned South African lawyer Navi Pillay, has called it an important step towards justice for the oppressed people of Gaza. Hamas said in an official statement that the selection of Navi Pillay for the Nobel Prize is a clear reflection of how important it is to hold Zionist elements guilty of international crimes and genocide accountable.

Hamas made special reference to the courageous reports of the independent international commission established in September 2025 under the leadership of Navi Pillay, in which the commission of genocide in Gaza and the devastating nature of the operations of the occupying Zionist forces were clearly acknowledged. The resistance movement has strongly demanded from the international community that it should no longer remain limited to mere verbal rhetoric, but should convert this solid evidence into practical legal actions and bring the Israeli officials guilty of war crimes to the dock of justice. Hamas stressed the need to immediately end the cruel global policy of granting impunity to Zionist criminals.

It is noteworthy that this important international honor was awarded to Navi Pillay at a time when America, the biggest patron of usurping Israel, is openly threatening the International Criminal Court (ICC) and trying to exert pressure to stop legal action for war crimes against Israeli officials.
