Attack on Mosque and Imambargah in Dera Murad Jamali Is Extremely Worrisome: Maulana Sohail Akbar Shirazi

Shiite News: Provincial President of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Balochistan, Maulana Sohail Akbar Shirazi, has strongly condemned the alleged attack on a mosque and Husseini Imambargah Karbalai in Dera Murad Jamali, the breaking of a wall, and the desecration of the holy place. Terming this condemnable incident as extremely regrettable and worrisome, he said that desecration of religious places is unacceptable in any way.

In a condemnation statement, Maulana Sohail Akbar Shirazi clarified that mosques and imambargahs are the holiest places associated with the religious beliefs and sentiments of the people, whose protection is the first and fundamental responsibility of the state and district administration. He strongly demanded from the police and concerned district administration to take immediate notice of this incident, conduct transparent and impartial investigations, and immediately expose and bring the mischief-mongers involved in this heinous incident to justice.

He further emphasized that the protection of religious places and complete respect for the religious rights and sentiments of citizens in Dera Murad Jamali should be ensured, so that no kind of tension, unrest, or unpleasant situation arises in the area and the atmosphere of peace and order is maintained.
