In this meeting, while highlighting Isfahan’s glorious historical background and immense potential in economic, industrial, tourism, and medical sectors, he emphasized further promoting bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He said that Isfahan is an important province located in Iran’s central plateau, comprising more than 113 cities, and its roots are connected to a great history and civilization thousands of years old. Due to its location on the Silk Road and having been the capital during the Seljuk and Safavid eras, this city has always been prominent in cultural, social, and urban diplomacy, and in 2006 it was also selected as the second cultural capital of the Islamic world.

Highlighting the industrial and academic importance of the province, the Governor of Isfahan stated that more than 12 percent of Iran’s major industries are located in this province. The presence of over 85 special industrial zones, a complete textile production chain, and the steel industry has given Isfahan a prominent position in the field of modern technology. Furthermore, regarding medical tourism, Isfahan’s standards are so high that Iranian citizens residing in Europe and America also turn to Isfahan for complex treatments.
