Contact with the US Took Place Through Qatari Mediation, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Says

Shiite News: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei has clarified reports regarding talks between Iran and the United States in New York, stating that the contact with the US side was not direct but took place through Qatari mediation.

He further said that the purpose of the contact was to convey Iran’s conditions to the US side, including an end to the war on all fronts and a halt to US aggressive actions.

According to Baghaei, other conditions put forward by Iran included an end to the naval blockade and economic warfare, the release of Iran’s frozen assets, and other important demands.
