Yemeni Forces Claim Major Missile and Drone Strikes on Aramco and Khamis Mushait

Shiite News: Major General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced that Yemeni forces had carried out two military operations targeting Saudi facilities, which he described as a response to the ongoing blockade and airstrikes against Yemen. He said Aramco facilities in Yanbu and the Khamis Mushait air base were targeted with ballistic missiles and drones. Recent reporting confirms that these strikes were claimed by Yemen’s Houthi movement, while independent confirmation of the full extent of the reported damage was not immediately available.

According to Al-Masirah and other reports, Saree said Saudi Arabia had carried out more than 450 airstrikes across Yemen during the week. He described the reported attacks on Saudi targets as a response to the escalation.

Saree said the first operation targeted Aramco facilities in Yanbu with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones. He claimed the strikes were direct and accurate and caused large fires and extensive damage. The second operation, he said, targeted Khamis Mushait air base with several ballistic missiles, which he claimed struck their intended targets. These details have been reported as claims by the Yemeni side.

The Yemeni military spokesman warned that Yemeni forces would continue their operations against Saudi military and strategic targets until, in their stated position, attacks on Yemen stop and the blockade is lifted. Reuters has separately reported the wider escalation, including Saudi airstrikes in Yemen and Houthi missile and drone attacks on Saudi targets.
