Martyr Molvi Yusuf Gargij’s Blood Will Not Go Unavenged, We Will Take Revenge, Says General Ahmad Vahidi

Shiite News: General Ahmad Vahidi, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has issued a special message addressed to the family of prominent religious scholar Molvi Yusuf Gargij and to the people of Sistan and Baluchestan. Iranian reports published on September 16–17, 2026, carried Vahidi’s message and his pledge to avenge Gargij’s killing.

In his message, General Ahmad Vahidi quoted a verse from the Holy Quran and said that the killing of the prominent scholar and religious figure Molvi Yusuf Gargij by what he described as “mercenary terrorists” demonstrated, in his assessment, the weakness of the United States and the Israeli government and their alleged defeat in the face of the people of Sistan and Baluchestan.

General Vahidi offered condolences and congratulations to the people of Sistan and Baluchestan on the death of Molvi Yusuf Gargij, prayed for the deceased to receive God’s forgiveness and divine favor, and prayed for patience and a great reward for his bereaved family.

At the conclusion of his message, Vahidi reaffirmed his pledge, saying that the killing had made Gargij’s path more prominent and that they would not allow his banner to fall. He also stated that they would avenge his killing.
