Yemeni Armed Forces Claim Major Success in Operation “واللہ أشد بأساً وأشد تنکیلاً” Historic Advance Toward Bab al-Mandab

Shiite News: The Yemeni Armed Forces have claimed major gains in a large-scale and decisive operation, titled “واللہ أشد بأساً وأشد تنکیلاً” which began on September 3 along Yemen’s western coast. According to Yemeni military spokesperson General Yahya Saree, Yemeni forces have taken control of six districts in Taiz and Al Hudaydah, as well as the strategically important logistical hub of Al Mokha Port, reportedly bringing approximately 5,400 square kilometers under their control.

According to the claims, the military operation heavily targeted seven divisions and 38 military brigades of Saudi-backed forces, resulting in hundreds of personnel being killed, wounded, or captured. The retreating forces were also reported to have left behind heavy military equipment and advanced radar systems.

The operation also reportedly resulted in the release of several Yemeni prisoners, while tribes and local communities expressed strong support for the advancing forces. Military and strategic analysts cited in the report described the Yemeni forces’ approach toward the strategically important Bab al-Mandab Strait as one of the operation’s most significant developments.

The reported fall of Al Mokha is being presented as a major setback for the Saudi- and Emirati-backed military structure. The development could further strengthen Ansar Allah’s strategic position, particularly in relation to the Red Sea, energy shipments, and one of the world’s key maritime trade routes.
