Shiite News: The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) issued an official statement on Tuesday claiming that new U.S. attacks had been launched against Iran. According to the U.S. military, the latest operations targeted positions belonging to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
According to a foreign news agency, CENTCOM said in a statement posted on the social media platform X that the operations were carried out at 12:00 p.m. U.S. time, corresponding to 7:30 p.m. Iran time. The U.S. military claimed that the attacks were conducted in response to Iran’s recent activities in the Strait of Hormuz and alleged attacks against U.S. forces deployed in the region.
Meanwhile, local sources reported hearing loud explosions in the areas of Bandar Abbas, Qeshm and Sirik. It is worth noting that the United States also carried out attacks on Iran’s Larak Island at the beginning of this week, according to the report.
