Imam Reza Working Group Meeting Approves 9 Plans to Facilitate Travel for Foreign Pilgrims

Shiite News: A meeting of the Imam Reza (AS) Working Group was held at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, chaired by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. The meeting reviewed various measures aimed at making travel to Mashhad easier for foreign pilgrims.

The meeting was attended by the ministers of economic affairs; roads and urban development; cultural heritage, handicrafts and tourism; and communications and information technology, as well as the governor of the Central Bank, the custodian of Astan Quds Razavi, the governor of Razavi Khorasan and other relevant officials.

During the meeting, nine plans were approved to facilitate travel to Mashhad for foreign pilgrims.

Foreign Minister Araghchi said the working group had been established during the tenure of the late Foreign Minister Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, with the aim of advancing international affairs related to Astan Quds Razavi.

He said the mechanism was designed to improve coordination between various government institutions and Astan Quds Razavi and to handle matters concerning foreign visitors traveling to Iran to perform the pilgrimage at the shrine of Imam Reza (AS) more effectively.
