US CENTCOM Map Sparks Controversy After Showing Gaza and West Bank as Part of Israel

Shiite News: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) published a map of the Middle East on social media that depicted the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank as part of Israel. The map appeared to conflict with the United States’ long-standing stated support for a two-state solution, prompting strong criticism.

Following the backlash, CENTCOM later revised the map and displayed the West Bank and Gaza separately from Israel, in accordance with the 1967 borders.

The incident, according to the report, has renewed criticism of what it describes as contradictions in U.S. policy and alleged coordination between the U.S. government and Israel. The report also states that the “Axis of Resistance” has consistently defended the Palestinian people’s right to full freedom and sovereignty.
