Funeral Prayer Held for Agha Syed Muhammad Abbas Rizvi in Skardu, Large Number of Religious and Political Figures Attend

Shiite News: The funeral prayer for former president of Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan, former member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly, and former provincial president of Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan, Allama Syed Muhammad Abbas Rizvi, was offered at the Central Jamia Mosque in Skardu, Baltistan. The funeral prayer was led by Skardu’s Friday prayer leader, Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafri.

The funeral prayer was held at 10 a.m. and was attended by a large number of religious scholars, social, religious and political figures, as well as believers.

Following the funeral prayer, the mortal remains of the late Agha Syed Muhammad Abbas Rizvi were laid to rest in his ancestral area of Astana amid scenes of grief and mourning.

The late scholar was a prominent religious scholar and political leader of his era. His death has been deeply mourned by intellectual, religious and political figures across Baltistan.
