Tehran Municipality Completes Large-Scale Service Arrangements for Arbaeen Pilgrims

Shiite News: Tehran Municipality has completed extensive service and sanitation preparations to support pilgrims during Arbaeen. According to Mohsen Ghazatlou, head of the Waste Management Organization, 1,290 volunteer servants have been dispatched to the holy shrines under the “Rawzat al-Rizwan” initiative to assist with cleaning, waste collection, and municipal services.

He said that around 70 garbage collection vehicles have also been sent to Iraq, where they are working in coordination with Iraqi municipal authorities to maintain cleanliness in Najaf, Karbala, and along the Arbaeen walking routes.

In addition, various sizes of waste bins, 28,200 kilograms of garbage bags, and other sanitation equipment have been distributed along the pilgrimage routes to ensure effective waste management and public cleanliness.

Nearly 400 Basij volunteers from Tehran Municipality are also participating in different service projects for pilgrims. Meanwhile, the Mawkib Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha (AS) on the Najaf–Karbala route continues to provide hospitality and assistance to pilgrims around the clock.

The volunteer teams are expected to complete their duties and return to Iran between August 2 and August 6, according to the report.
