Islamic University Hosts Interfaith Harmony Seminar, Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi Delivers Keynote Address

Shiite News: The Institute of Islamic Research at the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) organized an academic seminar on inter-sect harmony, bringing together prominent religious scholars, researchers, and intellectuals from various schools of thought across Pakistan.

Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi, Central Vice President of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and a member of the National Rehmatul-lil-Alameen wa Khatam-un-Nabiyyin Authority, delivered the keynote address. He emphasized that inter-sect harmony is essential for Pakistan’s stability, national unity, and social peace, urging scholars from all schools of thought to promote mutual respect, tolerance, and dialogue in pursuit of shared national and religious objectives.

Allama Wahidi said that the current circumstances require serious and effective efforts to strengthen religious and sectarian harmony. He stressed that religious scholars and community leaders should play an active role in fostering unity, tolerance, and mutual respect throughout society.

The seminar was attended by the President of the International Islamic University Islamabad, the head of the Institute of Islamic Research, Professor Muhammad Akram, Allama Sheikh Fakhruddin of Jamia Al-Kauthar, and other distinguished scholars representing different schools of thought. Participants agreed that inter-sect dialogue, cooperation, and tolerance are key to strengthening peace, Muslim unity, and religious harmony in Pakistan.
