Yemen’s Mohammed Abdulsalam to Saudi Arabia: End Aggression and Blockade to Ensure Your Security

Shiite News: Mohammed Abdulsalam, head of Yemen’s negotiating delegation, has warned Saudi Arabia that the surest path to its own security is to end its military actions against Yemen and lift what he described as the blockade.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen, Abdulsalam said the Saudi government would bear full responsibility for the consequences of the ongoing military campaign and blockade. He added that if the conflict continues, Saudi Arabia would face serious consequences.

Meanwhile, the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center (HOCC) in Sana’a stated that no taxes or transit fees have been imposed on ships passing through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. According to the center, the strategic waterway remains open to commercial vessels from all countries without charge.

The report further states that the Ansar Allah movement said restrictions apply only to vessels associated with Saudi Arabia in response to the ongoing conflict, while maritime traffic for other countries continues as normal through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
