Security Forces Arrest Suspected Facilitator Linked to Banned Militant Networks

Shiite News: Security forces have arrested Mufti Zafar Yab, who is accused of facilitating activities for what Pakistani authorities refer to as Fitna al-Khawarij.

According to the report, Mufti Zafar Yab said in a recorded confession that he completed an eight-year Dars-e-Nizami course at Jamia Nizam-ul-Uloom, Yateem Khana, Bannu, before pursuing a three-year specialization in Islamic jurisprudence (Takhassus fi al-Fiqh) at Al-Markaz Al-Islami Ghoriwala.

Security sources said that during interrogation, the suspect admitted to having contacts with a militant commander identified as Hikmat Roshan. He also stated that state authorities were aware of these contacts, which ultimately led to his arrest.

According to the reported confession, the suspect alleged that the militant commander sought religious rulings from him to justify extortion carried out in the name of jihad and offered positions and financial incentives to him and others.

The report further states that the suspect expressed remorse for his alleged actions, saying that the group has no connection with Islam and accusing it of promoting extremist ideologies and justifying the killing of Muslims.
