Drugs Pose a Serious Threat to Society, Especially the Youth: Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafri

Shiite News: Addressing the large Friday prayer congregation at the Central Imamia Jamia Mosque in Skardu, Baltistan, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Allama Sheikh Muhammad Hassan Jafri, Imam of the mosque, spoke in detail on a range of social, moral, religious, and political issues.

He praised the efforts of the Anti-Narcotics Department and law enforcement agencies to curb drug trafficking and drug abuse in Skardu, describing their initiatives as commendable. He emphasized that drugs pose a serious threat to society, particularly to the younger generation, and said that eliminating this menace requires not only government action but also active public cooperation.

Allama Jafri also drew attention to certain social concerns in Skardu. He said that some women arriving from different cities of Pakistan, particularly Punjab, allegedly appear in markets, shops, and residential areas disguised as tourists while begging. He warned that such activities are a cause for social concern and could potentially contribute to criminal activity.
