Important Advisory for Pilgrims Returning via Taftan Border
Pilgrimage Group Leaders and Pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS) Advised: Important Travel Advisory Regarding Return via Taftan Border
Shiite News | July 17, 2026: Pilgrimage group leaders (Salar Brothers) and pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS) are advised to take note of the following important travel guidance.
Pilgrimage organizers have repeatedly advised group leaders and pilgrims to avoid returning to Pakistan through the Taftan border for the time being in order to avoid unnecessary delays and inconvenience. Due to the current security situation, convoys from the Taftan border are reportedly departing only after delays of up to three weeks.
According to the advisory, a convoy departed for Quetta yesterday after a delay of approximately 25 days. However, an additional 25 pilgrims have since arrived at Pakistan House, and it remains unclear when they will be able to depart for Quetta.

For the latest updates regarding convoys from Taftan to Quetta, group leaders are advised to remain in contact with senior representatives of the Shia Conference Balochistan.
The advisory further states that pilgrims returning from Iran can also use the Rimdan border route to Karachi. If road conditions remain favorable, convoys for Karachi are generally organized every two to three days.
Pilgrimage organizers and pilgrims planning to return to Pakistan by road after Arbaeen are encouraged to obtain updated travel information before beginning their journey.
