According to a notification issued by the Punjab Home Department, Allama Muhammad Amin Shaheedi will not be allowed to address Majalis-e-Aza across Punjab, including Islamabad. He had been scheduled to deliver speeches at three Muharram gatherings in Multan.

The Punjab government’s decision has been widely criticized by various public and religious circles. The Multan administration has reportedly conveyed the Home Department’s orders to Allama Amin Shaheedi.

The central spokesperson of Imamia Students Organization (ISO) Pakistan, Syed Hamza Sabzwari, also condemned the move, stating that the Punjab Home Department’s decision to impose restrictions on a prominent religious scholar and member of the Central Supervisory Council of ISO Pakistan is regrettable and inappropriate.
