Pope Leo and the Catholic Church Offer Condolences to Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi on the Passing of His Wife

Shiite News: The head of Shia Ulema Council and Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, met with Mr. Christopher Sharif, Advisor on Islamic Affairs in Pakistan to Pope Leo on behalf of the Catholic Church.

During the meeting, Mr. Christopher Sharif expressed heartfelt condolences on the passing of Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi’s respected wife. He conveyed a message of sympathy and condolences from the Catholic Church and Pope Leo to Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi and his sons, Dr. Aoun Sajid and Abbas Sajid.

The meeting included detailed discussions on interfaith harmony, relations between the Shia and Christian communities, national unity, and various religious and national issues. Both sides emphasized the importance of promoting religious tolerance, mutual respect, peace, and brotherhood in Pakistan.

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi thanked the Catholic Church for its kind sentiments and stated that fostering respect, dialogue, and cooperation among different faiths can further strengthen peace, brotherhood, and mutual trust within society. He also stressed the need to strengthen interfaith relations and promote shared human and moral values.

At the conclusion of the meeting, prayers were offered for the forgiveness and elevation of the ranks of the deceased, while good wishes were also expressed for peace, stability, religious harmony, and national unity in the country.
