ShiiteNews: The working class from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reached the Press Club and exposed the ugly face of Dubai during a press conference. Thousands of Pakistani workers have reportedly been deported from Dubai, increasing hardships for their families.

Dubai has allegedly started deporting Pakistani workers on a large scale, which observers describe as a reaction to Pakistan’s mediating role in ending the Iran-US conflict. According to a detailed report by The New York Times, more than 20 Pakistanis working in Dubai-based companies were detained and deported over the past few weeks without any explanation. None of them were allowed to retrieve their belongings, nor were they given financial compensation.

Some reports claim that the workers were detained, stripped naked, and physically assaulted. Former lawmaker Nadeem Afzal Chan reportedly stated that at least 100 employees from Punjab alone have been sent back. Additionally, around 900 men belonging to Shia-majority communities in northwestern Pakistan have reportedly returned during recent weeks.

MWM Pakistan’s parliamentary leader and Member of the National Assembly, Engineer Hamid Hussain Turi, has also issued an online registration form to collect data on overseas Pakistanis expelled from Dubai. Allama Muhammad Amin Shaheedi stated that his organization has so far registered 5,000 affected families, indicating that the operation is taking place on a very large scale.

Meanwhile, laborers belonging to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa arrived at the Press Club where, during a press conference, they exposed Dubai’s alleged mistreatment and spoke about the oppression and abuse they faced.
