Khawaja Saad Rafique Says US ‘Maximum Pressure’ on Iran Failed
According to Shia News, prominent politician Khawaja Saad Rafique stated that Iran’s resilience has reversed the effects of the United States’ “maximum pressure” policy.
He said that the multi-layered pressure imposed by the United States on Iran—including severe sanctions, military pressure, threats, and regional blockades—not only failed to achieve its objectives but instead resulted in political setbacks and international isolation for the US.

He added that Iran’s national unity, ideological stance, and defense preparedness have effectively countered Washington’s “maximum pressure” policies. Tehran has consistently maintained that its nuclear activities are peaceful, and international institutions have also confirmed that there is no concrete evidence of weaponization.
Khawaja Saad Rafique further said that global public opinion has taken a critical stance against the conflict, and that Pakistan has played an independent, balanced, and mediating role rather than aligning with major powers.
