President of Jafaria Alliance Pakistan, Allama Shehanshah Hussain Naqvi, has praised Pakistan’s role in facilitating Iran–US negotiations.

According to reports, he commended the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Asim Munir for their constructive role in the current global situation, particularly regarding tensions between United States and Iran.

He stated that Pakistan, as an Islamic state, has always played a positive role in promoting peace and stability, and similar expectations were held during this critical time.

He further said that Iran faced aggression from the United States and Israel, resulting in significant human and financial losses, presenting Iran as an oppressed party.

Allama Naqvi noted that disputes spanning over 47 years cannot be resolved in a single نشست (sitting), and a lack of mutual trust remained evident during the negotiations.

He also pointed out that the Donald Trump administration had previously failed to honor commitments with Iran, and the nuclear agreement reached during the tenure of Barack Obama was revoked through an executive order.

In this context, he emphasized that any potential agreement mediated by Pakistan must include international guarantees.

He concluded that the current round of talks ended without any decisive progress, stressing the need for the United States to respect Iran’s legitimate rights to pave the way for lasting peace in the region.
