Heavy Security Arrangements for Youm-e-Ali Procession in Quetta

Shiite News: Strict and comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place for the Youm-e-Ali (AS) mourning procession scheduled to be taken out tonight in Hazara Town, Quetta.
According to SSP Operations Quetta Asif Khan, approximately 1,500 police officers and personnel have been deployed at various points across the city to ensure law and order and to provide security for the participants of the procession marking the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) on the 19th of Ramadan.
Under the security plan, procession routes as well as entry and exit points have been sealed and placed under strict surveillance. Additional police contingents have also been deployed along the procession routes and at sensitive locations.
SSP Operations Asif Khan said that special measures have been taken to ensure foolproof security during the procession.
Police personnel will remain on high alert at procession routes, major intersections and sensitive points to immediately respond to any untoward incident.
He also appealed to citizens to cooperate fully with security institutions and promptly report any suspicious activity to the police in order to maintain peace and stability in the city.
