“Dissolved” STC retakes its General Secretariat HQ in Aden in defy of Saudi orders
The “dissolved Southern Transitional Council” (STC) retaken its “General Secretariat” headquarters in Aden on Sunday, reopening the facility and resuming operations two weeks after its forced closure.
This move comes as a direct challenge to the ban issued by the Saudi military delegate, “Falah al-Shahrani,” which previously included shutting down the Council’s offices and launching security crackdowns on its leadership.
The dissolution of the Council followed Saudi airstrikes targeting its factions in Hadramout and Dhale governorates, leading to the flight of its leader “Aidarus al-Zoubaidi” to the UAE last January after his removal from the “Presidential Leadership Council.”
