Defying the rubble, Gaza opens its first face-to-face school since start of war

Despite the dire humanitarian situation, school bells are replacing the echoes of Israeli war in Gaza City. After months of displacement and deprivation, the Ministry of Education, working with international partners, has launched the first in-person elementary school.
