KP Assembly Rejects Pakistan’s Participation in US-Led “Board of Peace”
Shiite News: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has unanimously rejected Pakistan’s participation in the so-called US-led “Board of Peace” by passing a formal resolution.
Provincial Law Minister Aftab Alam Afridi, while presenting the resolution, stated that Pakistan’s inclusion in the board contradicts United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The resolution noted that the board completely ignores the leadership of Palestine and Gaza, thereby undermining the right to self-determination and statehood of the Palestinian people and strengthening Israeli ambitions.
The assembly declared that the US-led board is not a peace initiative but rather a “Board of Power,” aimed at protecting Israel and facilitating further destruction in Gaza and Palestine.
The resolution warned that the formation of sub-committees could result in Pakistan being included under Israeli leadership, causing embarrassment at the global level.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly demanded that the federal government continue its firm support for Palestinian and Gazan sovereignty, adopt a clear stance against Israeli aggression, and refrain from joining any forum that contradicts the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people.
