Sheikh Ahmed Ali Noori Condemns Punjab Government Over Violence Against Allama Raja Nasir Abbas

Shiite News: Member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Council and President of Majlis Ulema Maktab-e-Ahl-e-Bait Baltistan, Sheikh Ahmed Ali Noori, has strongly condemned the Punjab government for the violent attack on senior religious scholar, Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, and nominated Opposition Leader in the Senate of Pakistan, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri.
In a statement to the media, Sheikh Ahmed Ali Noori said that the use of toxic and harmful water cannons against a peaceful and elderly religious-political leader is a blatant violation of the Constitution of Pakistan, human rights, and democratic norms, and reflects clear fascism and authoritarian behavior.
He stated that this brutal act proves the Punjab government’s attempt to suppress dissent through force.
He held the Punjab government and its backers directly responsible and demanded immediate, transparent, and impartial investigations, along with strict legal action against those responsible.
