Writing, Teaching, and Public Welfare Essential for Promotion of Knowledge: Ayatollah Hafiz Riaz Najafi

Shiite News: Ayatollah Hafiz Syed Riaz Hussain Najafi, while addressing a gathering organized by Jamia-tul-Mustafa, praised efforts aimed at promoting knowledge and research, calling them highly commendable.
He expressed regret that many valuable scholarly and literary works of past scholars were not preserved, resulting in a significant loss to the intellectual world.

He outlined three essential duties for religious scholars: producing written works, fulfilling responsibilities of teaching and education, and actively participating in public welfare.
Emphasizing Quranic understanding, he noted that although the Holy Prophet (PBUH) emphasized the Book of Allah, whose explanation was provided by Ahlul Bayt (AS), adequate attention to Quranic comprehension is lacking in the Muslim world.

He called for inclusion of Tajweed and Quranic translation alongside Fiqh and Usul in seminary curricula and stressed teaching children correct prayer, its meanings, and Quran with translation, urging religious centers to be transformed into Dar-ul-Quran.
