Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of assaults and raids across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, including the severe beating of three recently released detainees, home demolitions, incursions into villages, and attacks by settlers.

In occupied al-Quds, three Palestinians who had just been released from Israeli custody were violently assaulted by Israeli forces at the al-Jib military checkpoint northwest of the city. The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews treated the three men, who suffered wounds and bruises, before transferring them to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah for treatment.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, Israeli forces stormed the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus, firing tear gas and trapping worshippers inside a mosque, which triggered confrontations from the residents. No injuries were reported.

Troops also raided the village of al-Mughayyir northeast of Ramallah, breaking into a home and detaining several people before withdrawing toward the eastern plain without making arrests. Later in the evening, Israeli forces entered the city of al-Bireh.

IOF demolish homes in Beit Lahm, settlers destroy farming fields
In the Beit Lahm area, Israeli forces demolished a two-story home and forcibly evicted another in the village of Husan.

Jamal Sabateen, head of the village council, told WAFA that troops backed by bulldozers positioned themselves in the Shaab Hammad area before demolishing a 200-square-meter-per-floor house belonging to Ali Hamamra. He added that soldiers also expelled Hamamra’s brother from his nearby home, which residents fear may also face demolition.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers vandalized Palestinian farmland near the al-Mintar Bedouin community southeast of al-Quds. According to Al-Quds Governorate, settlers trespassed onto Palestinian agricultural land, ploughing and damaging fields owned by local farmers.

Earlier, on December 8, Israeli occupation forces stormed the headquarters of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied al-Quds on the morning of December 8, seizing the phones of security guards and cordoning off the surrounding area, according to local sources and the al-Quds governorate.

The governorate denounced the raid, describing it as a clear violation of international law and a serious attack on the immunity of United Nations institutions and their staff, emphasizing that it goes against the UN Charter and Security Council Resolution 2730 issued in May 2024.

On the same day, two Palestinian youths were confirmed dead after succumbing to wounds they sustained from Israeli gunfire east of Qalqilya, according to the Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs, with both bodies still being withheld by Israeli occupation forces following the incident on December 7.

Local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces fired on a Palestinian civilian vehicle near the village of Azzun at the same time as a large influx of military reinforcements entered the town, occurring amid rising tensions and an intensified occupation presence in the area.
