State Is Silent Before the Elite, Senator Allama Raja Nasir

Shiite News: Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, head of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, strongly condemned the tragic killing of a young Gilgit-Baltistan girl, Tabinda Batool, and her friend in Islamabad after being run over by a vehicle of an influential nawabzada.
He said the incident is not only horrific but also raises serious questions about Pakistan’s justice system and the writ of the state. He warned that the elite have taken the law hostage — the poor are arrested for minor offences while the powerful crush two daughters of the nation and the state institutions remain silent.
Allama Raja Nasir said that if the state once again bows before the elite, public trust in institutions will collapse.
He vowed to stand firmly with the victim family at every forum and every level, asserting that injustice will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
