Allama Ashfaq Wahidi Meets Minister of State Talal Chaudhry
Shiite News: Prominent leader of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and former member of the Islamabad/Rawalpindi Peace Committee, Allama Ashfaq Wahidi, along with a delegation, held an important meeting with the Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry in Islamabad. Mansoor Qazalbash was also part of the delegation.
According to reports, the two sides discussed national security, regional and international developments, interfaith harmony, and the recent wave of terrorism in the country.
Allama Ashfaq Wahidi strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Peshawar, expressing deep concern over rising militancy.
The delegation also held a detailed discussion regarding the challenges faced by the Hazara Shia community.
He emphasized that the unity of all political and religious parties is crucial for the stability of Pakistan, adding that collective efforts are needed to bring peace and prosperity to the country.
Minister of State Talal Chaudhry appreciated Allama Wahidi’s services for interfaith harmony and said that scholars with a positive and moderate vision are essential for society.
He added that the government is actively pursuing legal action against all factions involved in spreading sectarian hatred.
