Three Policemen Martyred in Terrorist Attack on Hangu Checkpost

Shiite News :In a cowardly midnight attack on the Qazi Talab checkpost in Hangu, three police personnel embraced martyrdom during a fierce exchange with terrorists of the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. According to the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the terrorists launched an assault under the cover of darkness.
District Police Officer Khan Zeb Muhammad led the quick response operation, with police cordoning off the area and confronting the terrorists head-on.
A two-hour gun battle ensued, during which multiple terrorists were reportedly killed, though their bodies were taken away by fleeing attackers.
The martyred personnel have been identified as Head Constable Waheed Shah, Head Constable Hikmat Khan, and Constable Abdul Samad. Authorities stressed that the operation successfully foiled a major terrorist plot.
