Shiite News: Chairman Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and leader of Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, has said that the entire judicial structure of Pakistan has been dismantled and the institution of judiciary has effectively been abolished.
According to him, the 27th Constitutional Amendment has inflicted severe damage on judicial independence and its constitutional mandate.
Addressing a press conference, he said that in a country where even elections are stolen, the people cannot expect justice anymore.
He warned that no institution is left to stop the path of oppression, while Parliament has already lost its significance and the unanimously agreed Constitution has been made controversial, weakening the foundations that bind the federation.
He said the Constitution clearly defines limits on lawmaking; no law can contradict the spirit of the Constitution, and Qur’an and Sunnah have absolute supremacy.
In Pakistan, he said, democracy means God’s sovereignty expressed through honest and righteous representatives; therefore, no law can contradict divine commandments.
He announced that Friday will be observed nationwide as Black Day. Scholars, youth, men and women should raise their voices against this injustice, wear black armbands, and hold peaceful protests outside mosques or wherever possible.
He declared that this is only the beginning of the movement. A national conference is being convened to unite all sections of society for a collective response to this attack on the Constitution. “This struggle will intensify and grow stronger,” he said.
